Vanessa Kent is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has practiced in mental health services for over 20 years. She is a Charter Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and has received Biblical training through their seminars. She has worked in both public and private inpatient and outpatient counseling centers. While practicing in Florida, she served as a director of a New Life (Meier) Outpatient clinic, a nationally- known Christian counseling network.

She believes that strong families are essential to fulfill God's plan and works to promote healthy growth and facilitate emotional and spiritual healing of those who are wounded. She believes that the journey to wholeness begins through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and uses prayer, Biblical resources as well as sound psychological principles to assist people in their recovery of emotional, spiritual and physiological- based problems.

Vanessa is married with two daughters. Recently the family added a young son through international adoption. In addition to mothering and counseling, she enjoys teaching psychology classes, and spending time at the beach or mountains with her family.
